How much will my treatment cost?

This depends on your health condition and what you need. Most clients who consult me see their health as an investment for the future — they want healthy ageing, sound advice and products that work. My policy is to treat people as I would treat myself if I had your condition.

I’ve never been to a naturopath; what do you do?

Basically, we look at your health through a different paradigm than your GP. I approach your health holistically, looking at diet, lifestyle, stress, biochemical issues and the body’s energy balance. Naturopathy draws on many modalities.

Naturopathic philosophy favours a holistic approach and seeks to find the least invasive measures necessary for symptom improvement or resolution, thus encouraging minimum use of surgery and unnecessary drugs.

Above all, it honours the body’s innate wisdom to heal. The philosophy of naturopathy is based on six core values.

  • First, do no harm; provide the most effective natural health care available with the least risk to patients at all times.
  • Recognise, respect and promote the self-healing power of nature inherent in each individual human being.
  • Identify and remove the causes of illness (where possible), rather than eliminate or suppress symptoms.
  • Educate and inspire rational hope and encourage self-responsibility for health.
  • Treat each person by considering all individual health factors and influences.
  • Emphasise the “Condition Of Health”, to promote wellbeing and to promote disease prevention.

Do I have to change my diet?
That depends; do you want to be healthier? “The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same things you’ve always done and expect different results.”

We’ll work closely with you to encourage positive eating habits for a healthier life.

Do I have to be sick to visit a naturopath?
No! In fact many of our clients are generally healthy people who want to maintain good health. If you want to know the trends your heath may follow, look at your “genes” — your parents and your grandparents. What patterns are there? In many cases, gene expression can be modified by environment; i.e. diet, exercise, lifestyle, thinking and spiritual growth. Don’t be a victim of your genes.
